Happy St David's Day dear readers

Won't get chance to post tomorrow, so here's a little early treat...or two!

Bit of excitement.....

Sunday was just a teeny bit exciting - there was an article in the Sunday Mirror Magazine - and we Gethin's Girls were mentioned - birthday card, website and all (this particular 'girl' was just a teeny bit abashed, having made and sent it!). Not sure about our adoration being seen as 'hilarious', but we will forgive Geth anything......especially since it is better than being wierd or embarrassing....

Then we got a glimpse of the salsa and Geth in the BP studio at Brucie's bash - and Camilla looking lovely as usual!

Today, we got Geth 007 Jones again in a rather inane interview- Mr Jones' answers being far better than the inane questions. Our LittleMissBob submitted a much better one under a pseudonym!

Wot, no Geth??

Well yes, that IS Geth........

....but where the hell was he today? E24 I mean........very disappointing. However, we are hoping he will be doing LOADS on next week's show!

Blue Peter Watch - and confusion reigns...

Well, I thought Geth, Andy and Zoe were meant to be up a mountain........

Well, wherever they are, here are some pics from the filming of Geth's attempts to stop himself being sick when flying.

....he didn't like the lemon.....

The ginger biscuit was better The pepper stuff made him gag.....

...but the hypnotism worked - and I want to know what word made him look like this......... success was achieved....

Since we've seen this footage before, I am glad I recorded Ready Steady Cook - far too much lingering over the Red Tomato kitchen tho', Ains!!!

Blimey but Geth really does like to eat, eh! Had to laugh at his attempts to stop anyone else tasting, let alone eating, his food. He was distinctly underwhelmed with the mug, too - lost by one vote - gutted!!

Geth gets a new job......woo hoo!

BBC News 24 is to launch its first regular entertainment news show since Zero30 in the late 1990s, with a weekly programme co-hosted by Blue Peter presenter Gethin Jones.

E24 will be a weekly roundup of news from the world of film, television and music with behind-the-scenes reports and interviews with stars of that week's shows, gigs and events.

Jones, who became a household name following his stint on BBC1's reality show Strictly Come Dancing, will front the programme alongside News 24 presenter James Dagwell.

The 15-minute show has been commissioned for a six-week pilot run and will air weekly on Saturdays at 10.45am and 5.45pm from February 16, with a repeat at 5.45pm and 9.45pm on Sundays. E24 will also be available on demand from the BBC's website."

Now of course we are ALL interested in contributing something to Sport Relief, and we know Geth and the other BP presenters will be climbing mountains, but for those of us who get out of breath running for the bus (look, I did the Race for Life last year, OK!) here's 'something' for Sport Relief.........

A fan's loyalties can be stretched too far - Everton are playing my home town today (in case you didn't know, Geth supports Everton). Go Royals!

However, being part Welsh, I am happy on this occasion to support Wales in the rugby (not that I will be watching either match......)

Blue Peter Watch part deux

Well, I enjoyed seeing Geth manhandling a great big snake - obviously he does not resemble the other Mr Jones (Indiana) in having a fear of snakes!















........and according to that thermal imaging camera, our Geth is hot stuff!


Oh, and let's not forget the strange little 'skink' that weed on him - at least it wasn't an elephant!

Blue Peter Watch

Geth likes his food, we know that, he's fit, we know that, but polishing off a pancake on TV, claiming to run it off tomorrow is just showing off..... However, we did enjoy Geth's trip round to some schools and homes to thank some youngsters who have contributed to the Disk Drive Appeal - and the bits in the studio, where he was not forced to show us his culinary abilities (or lack of!)

Hello everybody,Long time no...typing!! Been mad busy since getting back from a few days off at Christmas after my incredible dancing adventure! Still can't believe I got to the semis, I think you all know from watching Blue Peter what a bad dancer I am/was! It was nice to see friends and family over Christmas and we all sat and watched the Strictly Christmas special on Christmas Day!

I'm back and have already been thrown in at the deep end with a scary, physical and exhausting challenge: climbing the four tallest mountains in the UK - one for each of the four nations - in just 48 hours. Yes, on Feb 12th, my 30th birthday, myself, Andy and Zoe will (hopefully!) be at the top of Snowdon in Wales half way through our epic journey. Where else would you rather be on your birthday than 3,000ft up in the air, -15 degrees and a 2 hour walk back down...in the darkness?!

We should finish at the top of Ben Nevis on Valentines day...how romantic. You'll be able to see exactly what happens on the show plus, of course, on this very blog.

And that's where you lot come in. We'll be carrying four special envelopes on our climb, one to open at the top of each mountain. They'll be filled with letters and pics sent in by viewers living in the nation that the mountain is in eg. Welsh viewers for Snowden, English for Scafell Pike, Northern Irish for Slieve Donard and Scottish for Ben Nevis. You can see which letters make it to the top exclusively here on our video

A little birthday treat

We all know it's Geth's birthday next week. But it's mine today, and here's a little treat for us all...... Happy days!

Drumming up support...............

Watching Geth playing the drums on Blue Peter......the verdict of one of the group that his drumming needed work I thought a little unfair - sounded good to me!

We are led to believe that Geth will soon be appearing on Ready Steady Cook - possibly on at the same time as BP - what a dilemma!
