Apr 09 2008 by Karen Price, Western Mail'STRICTLY Come Dancing star Gethin Jones, sweetheart of Welsh golden girl Katherine Jenkins, has quit Blue Peter three years after joining the long-running children’s show.
The presenter, who recently turned 30, said the “time was right” to leave the series.
His spokesman said he had received “dozens” of offers of work and was in talks about a number of other TV projects.
Jones told his young fans about his plans live on last night’s edition of Blue Peter.
Among the jobs he already has lined up are hosting this month’s Bafta Cymru ceremony and the BBC Young Musician of the Year contest, both of which will be held in his home city, Cardiff.
Today he will be in the Welsh capital to officially launch the 2009 Texaco Young Musician of the Year event.'
So................anyone want to dash down to Cardiff??
