Weekly witterings

Saturday - ‘Have a word with yourself!’
Gethin was on the radio – and verily, it was good! There was a bit of one-upmanship with Peter Duncan, I’m sorry, no contest……..Geth wins……….Not a lot of people know this, but Gethin has achieved the following feats that appear in the Guinness Book of Records:
Peeling lemons
Tying shoelaces
Pulling crackers (saw that one! Oh blimey, just admitted to watching Blue Peter – again!)
Largest gathering of people with the same surname (there were a few Joneses, then!)
Liz thingy (what the heck is her name? Obviously not watching a lot at that point….) seemed to have done even more daredevil things than the boys – sorry – but why? Trying to kill yourself on national TV is evidently not something a sensible woman needs to do!
We hear that Geth is off to Arizona - will the website get a ping from the ‘Grand Canyon’, or ‘Copper’ State? Of course it will!
Auntie Jan texts in to see if Raef is chicken – the answer it seems, is yes!

Sunday – When the going gets tough……….
Some GGs were off of a tough shopping challenge, but we still managed some inter-county texting and established that the Sunday Mirror mag had an article on our boy – not much news, but nice pics!

Monday – ‘Tell me why - I don’t like Mondays’
Well I just don’t, OK!

Tuesday – I rode through the desert on a horse with no name……………
The website – and this blog - got ‘hits’ from Arizona – wave to Geth, everyone!
A very nice ad for the National Eisteddfod of Wales appears on BBC Wales……frantic search for a vid clip begins…..and is successful (diolch!)

Quote: 'Which one's the dish' (Sparkling Liz)

Wednesday – midweek madness
I do a link to said vid clip – blogs hits go mad, from literally the world over……….now that could be for Gethin, Ioan, or, more probably, Matthew ……who cares?
Guardian blog implies that these gentlemen are 3 of Wales’ hottest properties – and all went to the same school!
A GG drove past said school, but resisted the temptation to pop in for a visit (we are not stalkers, really!)

Thursday – thank goodness tomorrow is Friday

Friday – Gethin Jones - the ‘stand in’ man
BREAKING NEWS - Geth will be opening the Eisteddfod (along with others) together with some choirs, including one from his old school….awww!

We hear that there will be two doses of Gethin Jones on Radio – Saturday from 9-12, and another on Saturday from 10-12 – will this cure a severe case of Gethinitis – I think not – the webcam doesn’t substitute for proper visual contact!

What's on the show tomorrow?

Saturday 2 August:
Gethin talks to the man with the silkiest voice on television, Venetian architect Francesco Da Mosto about his travels around Italy for the BBC.

A comedian who describes himself as the "fat Michael Owen" and star of new show Tonightly is in the studio. It's Jason Manford.

Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes star Marshall Lancaster will tell us if sharing a stage with a 33 tonne locomotive is scarier than sharing the screen with DCI Hunt...

An extreme pilot and an extreme sailor, Mike Goulian who will be spending the weekend flying at ridiculous speeds over the River Thames for the Red Bull Air Race, and Ed Baird, Americas Cup winner who is spending the weekend flying boats in Cowes.

We'll see if Rob Burrow has recovered from his run in on the rugby pitch last weekend, and hear his views on the new X-files film.

The hero of last weekends Twenty 20 Final between Middlesex and Kent, The Blacksmith, Tyron Henderson will be on the line.

Plus, new band Grammatics bring their Cello in to the studio, Raef brings his hair, and we want you to bring your suggestions of the cheesiest summer songs, ever.
